The process that is used during the process of creating the video content may be referred to as video production. In one way or the other, the video production process may be similar to the film making process. However, there may exist some differences. One of the differences between the two processes is that the video production process involves recording the images digitally as contrasted to the film stock. Three stages are usually involved in the process of video production. These are the pre-production, production and the post production.
The pre-production stages generally involve all activities related to planning. All the activities that are covered during planning are those which are undertaken before the filming could begin. A good example of such planning activities in this stage are script writing, planning for the necessary logistics and making the needed schedules. Any other administrative activity may also included. The next stage is the production. This is the stage that involves the actual creation of the video content. What may entails the content of the video may be images or moving images. The name given for the purpose of describing this process is videography. Post-production is the third stage of video production process. The post-production stage generally encompasses combining of a number of video clips that were created during the production stage. The process of combining is usually selective so as to create the best content. Generally, this is the stage that creates the ultimate product. The story or the intended message is then is communicated with the final product of the video production process. A live setting may be used for this purpose or it may be communicated later after the event.
During the video production process, a number of electronic medias may be used. The SD cards, solid state storages and the flash storages are good example of such media. Camera is the main electronic media used for the video production. So as to distribute the video content after the video production process, a number of formats are used. A good example of such formats may be the Moving Pictures Expert Group-MPEG and the Audio Video Interleave-AVI.
Different types of videos may be made with the process of video production. The most common types of video may include the TV production, Corporate videos, Marketing videos, and the Event videos. The making of a video may be stimulated by a number of reasons. For example, the event video will be used for the purpose of capturing the memories of a particular event. This may be a sporting event or a wedding.
