The Division of Visible Arts at Texas Lady’s University will educate and empower you to grow to be a pacesetter via excellence in the visual arts. Intriguing parallels exist between the issues and strategies of artists and the organization of the visible mind. Students produce a body of art work by way of a means of reflection and analysis, exhibiting a synthesis of skill, media and concept. Eight arts organizations oversee the administration of the fellowships and construction their own programs to respond to the unique challenges of various creative disciplines.

The decorative arts embrace ceramics, furnishings and interior design, jewelry making, metallic crafting, and woodworking. Strategies are explored that enable artists to render images expressively, utilizing mark making, visual texture, and subtle gradations. All center faculties now have access to an iPad or MacBook Art Lab so students can be taught twenty first century digital abilities, digital citizenship and produce digital art work, photography, and flicks. Working with faculty, students, and alumni from the NIU College of Artwork, campers are inspired to be revolutionary as they experiment with new materials, methods, and concepts while producing portfolio-high quality work in a college surroundings.

The nationwide media arts requirements were created by arts educators from across the sphere of arts training with illustration from visible arts, dance, music and theater. The curriculums are intensive and are designed to result in a 4-12 months Artwork degree program.
